Projektbeschreibung
Building on Claire Bishop’s Artificial Hells and Disordered Attention, I explored participatory performance through a comparison of Christoph Schlingensief’s U3000 and Anne Imhof’s Faust, translating my findings into a project titled Fragile. Together with a group of participants from diverse professional backgrounds, we created a transitional space between the private and the public sphere. In a ground-level flat, we staged everyday scenes derived from our own observations. The audience stood outside of the open windows, observing intimate scenes. Their bare presence — taking photos, cheering, or simply watching — blurred the line between performer and spectator. The mix of public noise and private intimacy disrupted the everyday, inviting reflection on separation, assembly, and interconnectedness. In polarized times, Fragile emphasized the intimacy that unites us in the immediate moment of an everyday spectacle and combines the private and the public as a whole.
