Projektbeschreibung
TRYHMH is a relational PlayThing where rhythm emerges through the embodied negotiation of parts, intensities, and temporal relations. Through repetition, feedback, and rearrangement, the work reflects on how coherence and meaning arise before language stabilizes them. Drawing on Lakoff and Johnson’s Part–Whole image schema, the work explores how perception organizes discrete elements into meaningful wholes. Through play, participants encounter processes of composition and transformation that can be read as metaphors for identity formation, social organization, and collective sense-making. As parts are rearranged, moments of coherence emerge, dissolve, and reconfigure. Participants place colorful pieces representing different sounds onto a circular surface. A rotating pointer marks time through its recurring passage, activating rhythmic structures. Sound, geometry, and accumulation intertwine as patterns unfold across both physical and digital space. Throughout the festival, the installation remains open for participation. It invites visitors to find meaning through rhythm, inscribe affects into the mechanics, and share presence through collective play.
