Architecture as a gym for the multiplicity of cultures in London. A combination of exercising, gardening and play become the principle for engagement with one’s own body, the collective and the site. The roof, as a tensegrity structure, becomes a metaphor for the skeletal and fascial system of the human body. Anchored and spatialized, it creates spaces underneath and becomes a machine for exercising through its kinaesthetic aspects. The landscape embeds the gym into an existing exercise system in Hampstead Heath, London.
