Projektbeschreibung
In the year 2000, a piece of artwork was crafted specifically for the National Ceramic Exhibition, depicting a tale from the Cambodian and Thai Ramayana, known as Ramakien. This epic holds deep cultural and religious significance in India and Southeast Asia. Made from black clay sourced from the Mae Rim River and fired at 1250 degrees Celsius. One of Hanuman's ears and certain decorative elements from Suvannamaccha's headgear have been lost, and it is covered in dust and dirt. To conserve and restore artwork, are utilizing epoxy resin for reconstructing the ear. The conservation efforts prioritize minimal invasiveness and reversibility.
