Where Things Hide rethinks storage and questions where it belongs between furniture and architecture. Looking at storage both as an object and as part of the built environment, the project finds a space in between. It uses the mobility, disassembly, and adaptability of furniture while giving storage a structuring role within the room. The project proposes a freestanding modular storage infrastructure that can hold belongings while also shaping the surrounding space. Without a fixed front or back, it can be approached from different sides and create areas of different purpose within a room. Textile layers move around the structure, bringing softness, tactility, and atmosphere. The textile creates moments of concealing and showcasing, continuously changing the appearance.
