Zubin Tan

This project attempts to promote the culture of influencers and its institutional agency. Located in Hangzhou, the city of live streaming in China, the project incorporates a gigantic billboard-like architectural facade displaying content for the urban and civic scale. The building provides one-stop content production services in apartment rooms expressed and visible to the outside, and reconfigurable soundstages, which uncover the production activities behind the fine-tuned contents in the physical world. Careful spatial balance is provided between private domestic environments and spaces of exposed production. The collective performative production is exposed spatially and through media facades to the public as a civic event in order to attract more followers.
